BankservAfrica crowned as South African PMO of the Year

The enterprise project management office (ePMO) of BankservAfrica, the largest automated clearing house in Africa, has taken the title of South Africa’s top PMO for 2022, with Altron Karabina, a Microsoft digital transformation partner, being named as runner up. The South African PMO Awards is an annual competition managed by Project Portfolio Office, a project and portfolio management (PPM) tool and solutions provider committed to growing the project management profession, in order to identify and recognise PMOs in South Africa that are delivering value to their organisations.

UWC simplifies project portfolio management environment with PPO

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) has optimised its project management office (PMO) environment, replacing multiple, stand-alone platforms with one easy-to-use, central solution, namely Project Portfolio Office’s cloud-based project portfolio management tool, PPO.

Try filtering and adding charts using RAG fields!

The table widget (that’s the widget that brought you improved filtering on list pages) is one of our core widgets and based on user feedback, we’ve added the ability to filter all list Pages using RAG (Red, Amber & Green) fields. Plus, this improvement extends to the chart widget! You can now add charts using RAG fields to your list pages.

PPO Features that we’ve introduced (and loved) in 2022!

At the start of the year, we made a commitment to accelerate the development of new features and enhancements to ensure that the product keeps moving forward. Our DevOps team has been working tirelessly to bring new features, some small but all mighty in improving your user experience. The journey started with the introduction of our first widget which brought you interactive Gantt views, improved filter controls, improved formatting and general usability improvements. There’s no question that 2022 was a year of awesome new features but let’s recap some of our more recent enhancements.

Working with Widgets on List Pages

Our widget journey continues with the introduction of the interactive donut and tree map chart widgets. These new widgets make it easier for users to visualise their data in the list with less clicks.  You’ll of course still have access to dashboards for graphical representation of your data. Check out this short video aimed at PPO users that covers how to set up these widgets on list pages and restore default settings.

PPO adds new collaboration features with Conversations: Now we’re talking!

Today marks the launch of Conversations in PPO – a new collaboration feature designed to keep project communications and collaboration flowing. This feature provides the ability to have informal chats, add images and documents, reply using familiar reactions, tag in teammates and interested parties and share knowledge and content on any entity (risks, issues, projects, documents and even approvals), you choose.

New Feature – Sort Entities on Home and Project View Pages

Good news! PPO Admins with the help of our new drag and drop capability can now finally adjust the sort order of entities for all users on the Home and Project View pages. You will need access to the System Configuration settings under the Administration menu. Did we mention that’s super easy to update? In less than 5-min, we’ll show you this small but mighty feature in action.
